Some of the questions were strange....at any rate: DSL piggybacks on standard phone line. Whatever you can do with your phones now, you can do with DSL installed. You will still only have the one number if that is all you subscribe to. Never heard of a line "filter" so can't answer that one. And lastly, no, you can't do away with your phone line if it is the vehicle for DSL.
