I'm looking for an alternative news site which is NOT owned by
CNN/AOL/TIME WARNER or Disney.

Have you tried the Drudge Report.
http://www.drudgereport.com/News ... stories from all sorts of
publications and sources. I know the feeling. AOL/Time-Warner is
all over the place! Personally, I read the New York Times.
Then, for a *completely* different slant, try http://drudge.com/

I have no idea who owns them but I like www.foxnews.com and
http://slashdot.org/.

Thanks everyone. I knew about Salon but stopped going there when they
said it was going to be a pay service. Check 'em all out again.
I never thought of slashdot a news site, but I guess you're right. I did cruse
over to abcnews but it's run by go.com which is owned by Disney.
Come to think of it, all those news channels are controlled by Mickey Mouse.
That's why we get the same stories on every channel.
It all reminds me that old song, Dirty Laundry and the bubble headed
bleached blonde, except she comes on at 7am on CNN instead of 5pm.
Thanks again,
jay
ok, that was lame blonde joke so send all flames to

You might check out www.ireland.com and www.debka.com... might not be what
you're looking for but good sites none-the-less.
