Biographies of Members:

Joseph Alhadeff, Chief Privacy Officer at Oracle Corporation, Washington,
DC.  Mr. Alhadeff participates and contributes to privacy issues through a
number of key international forums, including Asian Pacific Economic
Cooperation (APEC), Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development
(OECD), and the U.S. Council for International Business (USCIB).  Mr.
Alhadeff is serving a 3-year term.

Ramon Barquin, President at Barquin International, Bethesda, MD. Mr. Barquin
has extensive technical and policy experience in data mining, system
interoperability, and computer ethics.  He worked at IBM for many years in
both management and technical assignments prior to starting his own business
developing information system strategies for public and private sector
enterprises.  Mr. Barquin is serving a 3-year term.

J. Howard Beales III, Associate Professor of Strategic Management and Public
Policy at The George Washington University, Arlington, VA.  Mr. Beales
recently stepped down from his position as Director of Consumer Protection
at the Federal Trade Commission, where privacy was a key initiative during
his tenure.  Mr. Beales is serving a 3-year term.

D. Reed Freeman, Jr., Chief Privacy Officer at Claria, Arlington, VA.  Mr.
Freeman, a Certified Information Privacy Professional, works on privacy
issues with emerging technology at a small business. Previously, he was a
member of Collier Shannon Scott, PLLC, and a staff attorney at the Federal
Trade Commission.  Mr. Freeman is serving a 4-year term.

James W. Harper, Editor of Privacilla.org and Director of Information Policy
Studies, Cato Institute, Washington, DC.  Mr. Harper operates a Web-based
think-tank that is devoted to researching privacy as a public policy issue
and serves as Director of Information Policy Studies at the Cato Institute.
He has worked on Capitol Hill in various capacities most recently as counsel
to the United States House Committee on Judiciary, Subcommittee on
Commercial and Administrative Law.  Mr. Harper is serving a 4-year term.

Kirk Herath, Chief Privacy Officer and Associate General Counsel at
Nationwide, Columbus, OH.  Mr. Herath leads the team that is responsible for
setting corporate privacy policy, implementing privacy across all lines of
business and for all privacy compliance and audit activities.  Mr. Herath is
serving a 2-year term.

David Alfred Hoffman, Group Counsel and Director of Privacy, Intel
Corporation, Hillsboro, Oregon.  Mr. Hoffman has experience in privacy
policy issues at the business and technical level, working on issues of
interoperability, improved data quality, and data retention.  He serves on
the board of directors for the non-profit privacy compliance organization,
TRUSTe.  Mr. Hoffman is serving a 4-year term.

Lance Hoffman, Professor at The George Washington University, Washington,
DC.  Professor Hoffman is a distinguished research professor of Computer
Science and founded and leads the computer security program at The George
Washington University.  Professor Hoffman is serving a 4-year term.

Tara Lemmey, Chief Executive Officer at Lens Ventures, San Francisco, CA.
Ms. Lemmey is an active member of the Markle Task Force for National
Security in the Information Age. Previously, she served at President of the
Electronic Frontier Foundation.  Ms. Lemmey is serving a 2-year term.

Joseph Leo, Vice President at Science Applications International
Corporation, Vienna, VA.  Mr. Leo served as the Chief Information Officer
for U.S. Department of Agriculture from 2000 � 2001.  Prior to this
assignment, he served on the National Computer Systems Security and Privacy
Advisory Board at the U.S. Department of Commerce.  Mr. Leo is serving a
2-year term.

John O. Marsh, Professor at George Mason University School of Law,
Winchester, VA. Mr. Marsh served in the U.S. House of Representative for
Virginia, served as Secretary of the Army under President Reagan, and most
recently served as a member of the Technology and Privacy Advisory Committee
(TAPAC) for the Department of Defense.  Secretary Marsh is serving a 2-year
term.

Joanne McNabb, Chief, Office of Privacy Protection, California Department of
Consumer Affairs, Sacramento, CA.  Ms. McNabb provides consumer education
and practice recommendations on privacy issues to California state citizens
and businesses.  Ms. McNabb is serving a 4-year term.

Charles Palmer, Department Group Manager at IBM Corporation, Yorktown
Heights, NY.  Dr. Palmer manages the Security, Networking, and Privacy
Departments at the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center, where various teams
are developing privacy-related technology and exploring how technology can
help preserve privacy while improving data quality.  Dr. Palmer is serving a
4-year term.

Richard Vincent Purcell, Chief Executive Officer at Corporate Privacy Group,
Nordland, WA.  Mr. Purcell runs an independent privacy consulting group,
focusing on privacy education.  Previously, he was the Chief Privacy Officer
for Microsoft Corporation.  Mr. Purcell is serving a 3-year term.

Paul Samuel Rosenzweig, Senior Legal Fellow at the Heritage Foundation,
Washington, DC.  Mr. Rosenzweig conducts research and writes scholarly
articles for publication, presents papers at conferences, and speaks to the
media on homeland security legal policy, criminal law, criminal procedures
and legal ethics issues.  Mr. Rosenzweig is serving a 3-year term.

John Thomas Sabo, Manager, Security, Privacy, and Trust Initiatives at
Computer Associates, Herndon, VA. Mr. Sabo is actively leading projects for
the Information Technology � Information Sharing and Analysis Center
(IT-ISAC) and is active with the International Security Trust and Privacy
Alliance.  He has 15 years experience addressing privacy and security issues
for IT systems at the Social Security Administration and Computer
Associates.   Mr. Sabo is serving a 3-year term.

James Michael Sheehan, General Counsel, Milton Hershey School, Hershey,
Pennsylvania.  Mr. Sheehan has extensive background in state government and
privacy related issues.  Mr. Sheehan is serving a 2-year term.

Lisa J. Sotto, Partner at Hunton & Williams, New York, NY.  Ms. Sotto heads
the firm's Regulatory Privacy & Information Management Practice and works
extensively with the firm's Center for Information Policy Leadership (CIPL)
on topics ranging from improved privacy notices to responsible pattern
analysis.  She is a member of the family of a 9/11 victim.  Ms. Sotto is
serving a 4-year term.

Michael Turner, Founder and President at Information Policy Institute, New
York, NY.  Mr. Turner researches issues of regulation of information in both
the United States and globally.  Mr. Turner is serving a 2-year term.

Samuel H. Wright, Senior Vice President, Government Relations at Cendant
Corporation, Washington, DC.  Mr. Wright works in the travel industry
representing the wide range of companies owned by Cendant, including
Galileo, one of the leading providers of global reservation systems.  Mr.
Wright is serving a 2-year term.
