While I already know the answer to this and it comes as no surprise per se,
it really makes you wonder what good such "public comment" periods are,
given that TPTB (The Powers That Be) will do whatever they intend to anyway.

And let's not forget the state-by-state fiasco about the implementation of
the "national id card" masquerading as the REAL ID Act coming up, too.

Our current national policy is to presume everyone potential terrorist,
right?
