There is no AUTH command implemented in the iMS POP Server -
although there is an implementation of APOP authentication. Also, this
mail client is not conforming to RFC because there needs to be an authentication
method specified after the AUTH command. For example:
AUTH KEREBOS_V4
USER DOES NOT EXIST is a fairly common error on a POP
server...
If you have any other information about "Message x does not
exist" then please let me know.
Regards,
Howie

must of the err messages are USERS DOES NOT EXIST
and
06/27/2000 10:31:47 AM [003]
DEBUG: ->-ERR Message 6 does not exist (FOR EXMPALE). in the last minutes
with this protocol log in I had a good number of this last
error
other error I am getting is
06/27/2000 10:40:56 AM [003] DEBUG:
<-AUTH 06/27/2000 10:40:56 AM [003] DEBUG: ->-ERR Unknown
command 06/27/2000 10:40:56 AM [003] DEBUG: <-USER arcasa 06/27/2000
10:40:56 AM [003] DEBUG: ->+OK arcasa is welcome 06/27/2000 10:40:56 AM
[003] DEBUG: <-PASS XXXXX 06/27/2000 10:40:56 AM [003] DEBUG: ->+OK
mailbox opened
about listing the pass of my users it would be
hard for list members to guess the domain :) specially this user is on a hard
to even write domain in Spanish :)
The transaction below is completely
normal. When the STAT command is issued the POP Server reports 7
total messages with a byt count of 557886. When the UIDL command is
issued the POP Server lists the 7 messages and then the client begins
downloading and deleting the messages.
The period that is shown is
simply the listing terminator.
Do you have any logs that show and
error?
Howie
P.S. you should remove the user's password before
sending logs to the list.

users (including me)
are not currently using any infusion or any template at all to call or
mod the files..
I just reproduced the problem on a pop box reported
to me before having the protocol logginn and this is what I
found
Note: user had 9 messages and at message 7 the error ocurred.
After calling the rest the other 2 msg came up. after that no prob with
this account. Should I add some cfif msg number is "." skit it or
something?
