I'm looking for some ideas on timed events. What I mean is that you can
have a specific template fired off at a certain time. The time could be a
period (every minute, 15 minutes, etc.) or a day of the week and time, or a
calendar day (every 1st of the month at 12:00 for example).

This may be something that could be used for creating list digests for
example.

We have an program that was developed for in-house use that does two things:

1 - runs timed events

2 - runs a specific template every minute and looks for a certain output
string. If the string is not in the output then ColdFusion is restarted.

We use the second function because on of our sites is a heavy DBase site and
once in a while CF spits out PCode errors. After this happens CF needs to
be restarted otherwise all CF pages have these errors.

Anyway, I'm thinking that we could clean up this program for general
distribution and use it for iMS.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Howie Hamlin
