Oh, yes.  No doubt.

I know the idea of Open Sourcing FusionMail seemed to flop, but something
along those lines would be nice.

At this point, though, FusionMail had different code bases for SQL-Server
and MS-Access.  Will these be the same next version?  Also, I think you can
safely assume that most people would prefer to have a database instead of
files for the local mail.
