Actually a more interesting question would be "which of the above is the most
important as a future development environment?"  Of the above my vote would go
to PHP.

I don't think PERL is relevant to the Windows 2000 environment.

But having said that - I still totally believe that the future is with CF -
especially in view of the new version in development which is a total
integration of JRun anf CF, and uses the JRun engine to also parse CF templates
as I understand it.  The potential for that environment, together with the
increases in speed and efficiency of both Cf and Java apps, and the integration
of both is enormous.

I would take the opportunity to say as well that in the long term, it would be
great to port iMS to RH Linux and mySQL/Oracle 8i/CF for those that are that way
inclined - it would open up an alternative market for iMS which would be to the
ultimate benefit of us all.
