It fell over badly last night, twice, then settled down again. What we seem
to have is that it lost its folder info as to where things were meant to
be. Here are a couple of log snippets:-
The last good entry:
22/01/2001 10:21:55 [003] WARNING: TIMEOUT: Timeout waiting for client data
22/01/2001 10:21:55 [003] Deleting temporary file
E:\iMS\Mail\34B0CA17EBEFD411AC99.mail
22/01/2001 10:21:55 [003] Temporary file deleted
Note the mail directory, "E:\iMS\Mail", this is correct for this machine.
Now here is one a bit later when it fell over:

The error seems to be that the file path is now "chatterbox_ii" not
"E:\iMS\Mail" so the tag fell over....
Then it got worse and our alarms went off and woke me up :-( (For those
that are wondering our servers do not go onto summer/daylight-saving time
so it is really 11:45pm local time and I do not work all night like Howie
does <g>)

The last two items then repeated for every incoming mail until I restarted
the service. Note the thread [002] does not change even though there seems
to be two things going on. (I assume the -1 at the end of the mail entries
which is normally the file length is an indication that the file has gone
missing.)
The second time it fell over it was not quite the same style. We got the
first set of errors, then it came good for about ten minutes and then the
second complete crash started .
How's that for a bit of feedback Howie? You timed your question well :^)
Social bit:
>A curry evenening? Is that referring to Indian cuisine or is this another
>strange Aussie phrase? <g>
One of our staff has a wife who is a seriously good Indian Curry cook. It
was a pleasant night :-)

Kym
