Also, the simultaneous app server connections means how many simultaneous
requests that each iMS server can make to the app server. For example, if
ColdFusion gets too many simultaneous requests it can sometimes have
problems. So, this setting keeps these requests at a manageable level.
Example:
ColdFusion is configured for 10 threads. After 10, CF will queue requests.
So, you may want to configure each iMS server to use the following number of
simultaneous requests:
SMTP: 7
POP: 5
POST: 5
This means that under load the CF server may have as many as 7 queued
requests.
