Headers should be sent back as far as I know. I haven't tested this out yet.
If a system doesn't understand a header, the header should simply be
ignored.
Headers being sent back may rely on the client sending the e-mail.
Also, headers may be accessed by the postfail and postwarn templates. This
is useful for tracking e-mails.

Follow-up question..
Headers are not send back when a message is responded to, right? I always
understood it that the receiving client would need to understand and
interprets those headers for it to be useful. Of course I could be wrong.
I was trying to figure out how to set a header that would be returned..
mainly hoping that the old headers would have been plain text in the
response.. but haven't been able to make that work.
Is that even possible?
