hmm, 350 msg / second,  or 2.9 msec /msg.  Hot damn, that�s fast. :)))

(Note that MS�s is badly beat by AOL�s by the above.  I guess MS doesn�t 
have enough resources. :)))  I�m guessing MS runs MS OS, and AOL runs *nix )

Back of the envelope, let�s call it 15 sec/msg on avg to send.

One SMTP process can send 86400 secs/day / 15 secs/msg = 5760 msgs/day.

30 million msgs / 5760 msgs =  5200 SMTP processes in one machine.  Just Do 
It!!  :))

Plus that�s at least 30 million DNS queries, giving 3500 queries/sec.  I 
wouldn�t trust MS DNS with that.

Whatever, that�s the way you calculate this stuff.
