Greg,

I, too, understand where you're coming from but Howie is far from being
unhelpful in this and he is and has always done everything he could to fix
any problems and help get things resolved. In our line of business, the
web is certainly critical but email is even more so, or at least the first
thing people notice if there's a problem. As such, stability is very
important to us. I have not had one problem with the full iMS during the
2.1 RCs. The iMS SE's had a bit of trouble with new options/features, but
that's understandable, they're new, and these aren't as critical as the
primary mail server. Overall, we've had a few burps here and there, but
Howie has always been quick to either provide a solution either until a fix
was made or actual fix very quickly. I think the reason so many "release
candidates" have been released for 2.1 is due to not everyone reporting the
problems at once. One is reported, it's fixed and at that time no other
issues are known. A day or so later, someone reports another quirk -
nothing catastrophic usually and the cycle repeats. Howie is extremely
dedicated to this as is evident by their devotion to fix every little quirk
found, regardless how small. I think if this weren't the case, we'd have
seen 2, maybe 3 RCs and several little quirks left for another day. I, for
one, wish more developers were this devoted to perfection in their
products. If it takes 50 RCs to get it just right, so be it. I'll be
right there, admiring the heck out of them.
