That variable indicates that the email has an rf822 attachment which is an attachment
of an entire email (AOL email is notorious for
this). Sometimes there is one attachment like that and sometimes they are nested (AOL
mail, again). So, the tag gives you an
indication of the presence of this type of attachment and allows you to then decode
that portion of the mail. And, if the
attachments are nested, you can continue to decode deeper and deeper.
If you decode an email and have a var called "ODSMIME_RFC822", then you can tell the
tag to decode this as well. The FusionMail
code is the best place to see how this is done. Look at the ReadMessage.cfm file.
