We have just run a test with the evaluation version of IMS and found it to
work quite well. However, on going through the SMTP log files, we found a
large variety of warning messages. Some of them are quite self-explanatory,
e.g :

WARNING: (<-mx13.hotmail.com) 552 Requested mail action aborted: exceeded
storage allocation

while others are not and look suspiciously like errors in IMS execution :

[027] WARNING: TIMEOUT (WFR): Timeout waiting for client data
(C78B7C7BA4C66F42A295.mbx)

Is there any documentation that gives a clear listing of all warning
messages and what they mean ? Also, which warnings would result in
'failed-permanent' status and which would cause 'failed-temporary' ?

We are considering moving IMS onto our production server. Are there any
tips for making IMS run as efficiently as possible, i.e. utilise the
minimum resources in terms of CPU, Memory and bandwidth ? For the initial
few minutes, we found that while IMS was running, our bandwidth was getting
choked.

Vishal.
