Howie, this is a seamless upgrade right? -----Original Message----- From: Howie Hamlin [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, May 06, 2002 2:02 AM To: inFusion Support List Subject: [iMS] iMS 2.2 update
iMS 2.2 should be released this week. We have the release version running on our primary email server now (the server that runs this list). We just have some additional testing in regards to our new key server (ColdFusion based) and then we just need to update the documentation with an addendum. FYI: the new key server uses ColdFusion (via a web server on port 80) so most of the firewall issues with our old key server should be resolved. The upgrade requires that you reregister your serial number on our new key server. If the update fails when communicating with the key server you will receive an error message and instructions to abort the installation (you can then continue running 2.1 or lower until we can get your license working). Since the new key server is all new code we may have some issues but we're going to do our best to make sure all upgrades go smoothly. We will continue to support iMS 2.1 for one month after the release of 2.2. After that, we will only support version 2.2.
