To answer:
1. We are running 2.4 beta 5
2. I did not explain well. The code we use in the reportpoststatus tries to
access a header_variable that did not exist. I'm just wondering if code
errors on the reportpoststatus template would effect the transmission of
mail in any way.
Also, forgot to ask:
The CF Template that contains the iMSmail tag took 15 minutes to execute
with a query of 1,005 addresses (and iMS took about 20 minutes to deliver.)
Should I be concerned about the template running for 15 minutes?

What version are you running? Newer versions should not do this but there
were some older versions that created stray
mail files in some cases.

If an email appears in the tempfailed or permfailed list then that means
that the mail did not go through. It may be
delivered in the next attempt if the failure was temporary.
