I just shut down my
iMail server for a couple of hours.
Some how ( I think
it was after reboot on my server ) the iMS SMTP service got started. It
and iMail are both on port 25 !! SMTP
stopped working ....
The effect was SMTP
could not be contacted on my server.
1. I finally figured this out. and
Stopped the SMTP service on IMS. Since I only want to use iMS SE for
sending messages is the ANY reason that iMS SMTP should ever be
started?
2. Also what is a safe port number I could
change the iMS SMTP just in case it got started?
3. Is there a reason the iMS SMTP service
would start by itself ( automatically) after a boot?
