Our FusionMail code specifically deletes mail so that it won't accumulate so you
should be doing this as well in your
code. To make things a little easier - the iMS SMTP server can save mail in a
user-specific folder if you have that
turned on.
What I would do is write something that searches the folder for mail file and then
checks the database to see id the
file is associated by one ore more records and, if it is not, then delete it.
