You would only need to convert everyone over at once if IMAIL does not support binding to a single IP address.  iMS has the ability to bind to a single IP address on the machine and, if you have more than one IP and the other mail server can do the same, then you can run both at once.  If IMAIL does not support this then you would have to stage a test domain on another machine and then do a cutover to the production machine after disabling IMAIL.

iAuth is a separate product that is used for web site authentication and is not needed for iMS or FusionMail.

Subject: [iMS] Converting from iMail

I am currently on iMail version 6.x  Due to some MS updates, I will be forced to upgrade to iMail 8.x for about $500.

Based on that I am considering dumping iMail and going to inFusion Mail Server.  I have talked with Lisa in sales.  Based on my volume I can go to SOHO and support my 25 domains, which have no more than 6 eMail accounts each.

I am running MS SQL, ColdFusion and iMail on my server now, so I would expect I should have no problem being able to run inFusion Mail Server.

I would think I would have to convert all my clients at one time.

Has any one done this?  I would appreciate your comments.

Do I need iAuth ??

TIA
