The sample code that comes with the scheduler is configured to prevent racing.  A scheduled item should only run once.  The code for this is in the GetEvents template.

I've been getting a strange CFMX error when a template is triggered via getEvent.cfm and the scheduler. This has always worked in the past and is in fact working on another server with practically the same code.

The getevents.cfm template calls InitializeDelivery.cfm if there is mail in the queue/scheduleDB. I can call this template directly and append the couple of vars to the query sting from the params value and it will run fine. It is however a slow running template. The error I get when the scheduler runs is:  an error trying divide by zero from CFMX.

Is it possible if a scheduled task is set up to run once only but the first request does not complete (and update the "enabled" flag in the DB) that the next process ran by the scheduler would start to run the same thing again?  How do you avoid this?
