I might have missed this somewhere, but what is your connection speed and avg. message
size? For a T1 that sounds about right. Here's a snip from a message I sent a while
ago to another person on this list:
Assuming you actually get a full 1.5M bits/s throughput all the time (not very likely
unless your sdsl line is very high quality and not used for anything else at the time,
but...) and your messages are 20K in size:
1.5Mbps = 1,536Kbps = 153.6K Bytes/s (8bits/byte + start + stop bits) = 7.68 20KB
msgs/s = 27,648 msgs/hr.
So under ideal circumstances you'll only see about 27K msgs/hr, and under real world
conditions I think 20K/hr is pretty good.
