There are several things in iMS required for auth
to work:
- enable smtp auth in smtp settings
- use FusionMail v2.0 or higher (or, supply your
own code that forces smtpauth)
BTW - if you are using AllowedIPs in the smtp
server then this would usually allow you to relay w/o auth.
