Is there any documentation on how to read the POST
logs? For example, I have extracted the following :
12/04/2003 05:13:22 PM [001] Send mail start for
78C20DBCD25632419CDC5978FF8F4AE5_74A7921EEF5A8D41AB0349A3B2FFCFD4.mail
(Priority=5, Attempt=29)
12/04/2003 05:13:22 PM [001] Connect to mx.west.cox.net 12/04/2003 05:13:22 PM [002] WARNING: Error connecting to mx.west.cox.net response follows: 12/04/2003 05:13:22 PM [002] WARNING: (<-mx.west.cox.net) 421 fed1mtai10.cox.net connection refused from [64.7.220.226] 12/04/2003 05:13:22 PM [002] Connect to mx.east.cox.net 12/04/2003 05:13:22 PM [003] WARNING: Error connecting to mx.west.cox.net response follows: 12/04/2003 05:13:22 PM [003] WARNING: (<-mx.west.cox.net) 421 fed1mtai03.cox.net connection refused from [64.7.220.226] 12/04/2003 05:13:22 PM [003] Connect to mx.east.cox.net I can see that cox.net is refusing my
connection. But, I would like to read more about what other problems might
be in this log file. And, if my connection is being refused, how can I
find out why my connection is getting refused?
Also, is there a parser program that I can use to
parse these logs and give me a better looking report?
Thanks,
Dave Hatz
