In a setup like this you should be running iMS with the Outgoing Servers property 
configured for the other internal server and one POST Server thread.  I still think 
there is some kind of network problem there.  Also, it is usually better to have iMS 
deliver the mail directly unless you have a compelling reason to use the other server 
as a relay.
