I have checked the MX From Address now, and will see how it goes. I wasn't sure from the manual (which wasn't entirely clear) that this would work. The manual seemed to imply that if there was no mx on the lookup for something like: mail.weftweb.net then the POST server would look up the MX on the parent domain eg: weftweb.net. I gather it does more than this?

The "MX From Address" setting will allow you to send mail to broken domains.  If you set this up then you shouldn't have to worry about offloading the mail to another server.

Is there anyway to set the post server up so that if it can't find an mx record for a domain, it just tries to connect to the domain anyway (ie: uses the A record as a fallback). We have a mailing list which has a number of people on it who have their domains incorrectly setup with no MX.

Alternatively could we ask it to relay the ones it can't deliver to another server - which will try the A record when the MX fails.

We don't want to relay everything to the other server as this causes too much load on that server.
