On my smtp server, I am running MSSQL. IMS uses several tables to store information about the Domain, the account names (and numbers), and a table named Mail that holds all the email except emails beyond a particular length. In addition to setting up the accounts via the regular way, you may need to manually edit the database.

Subject: Re: [iMS] Adding POP and SMTP

Hi All,

I have installed the new pop and smtp servers and they are working fine. It will take a while to get around all the features, but in the meantime I have a small problem. I have some mail that was sitting in the pop mailboxes of the old smtp server, what I want to do is to just insert it directly into the mailboxes of the inFusion server so the users can download it.

The files are .eml files but they look like a pretty standard format. I tried simpling renaming them .mail and putting them into the mail box for the appropriate users, but they didn't download.

Any ideas on how to do this?

Ciao,

Michelle Davis

>Well, the thing about iMS is that the core templates basically control the entire email server.  This means that controlling domains and users can be something that is based on a database.  FusionMail has only a few tables that are used to create and manage domains and users.  So, all you would need to do is add the proper records in a table with your CRM.
