Hi Ismael :) I did update my versions after finding the new repositories up on www.initng.org. gdm loaded but not much else did (networking, for example). I checked out aptitude's options and there's a -f to aggressively try to fix broken packages, and there's a --purge but neither one works. I still get the same error from ng-update. Hell, I get the bad substitution error when I just try to do ng-update --help.

I had some errors which I That page is out of date, the latest initng release is 0.6.10, and the latest initng-ifiles release is 0.1.2. Look: http://www.initng.org/wiki/Install_Debian_Ubuntu. There should be a --force flag or something to let you uninstall the old package... You should try the newer versions, they were improved a lot ;). -- _______________________________________________ Initng mailing list [email protected] http://jw.dyndns.org/mailman/listinfo/initng
