Hi Ismael, Eric and folks,

Sorry for my late response.

Was netdev enabled in the default build?, If I remember correctly Jimmy
said it was experimental. That's why it contains some bugs and
"features". This is one of those "features".

Yes, the option of netdev is 'ON' now.
BUILD_NETDEV:BOOL=ON

Thereafter the delay does not occur.
If it is experimental, I want to set it to off.

Thanks a lot!

Takeshi.

Hi Eric and Ismael, and folks,

Today this problem occurred again, but the latency was not just two
minutes.
Sorry, this report was wrong, it was not correct time.
I tested it again last night, and confirmed that the latency was just
two minutes.

BTW, I found two minutes delay (not a timer) in
'plugins/netdev/initng_netdev.c'.
probe_network_devices() : initng_global_set_sleep(120);

I changed this value to 60 sec for trial.
The result was following.
Jan 1 00:02:13 MYHOST InitNG: Service service/nwpboot is starting.
Jan 1 00:02:18 MYHOST service/nwpboot: writing done
Jan 1 00:03:18 MYHOST InitNG: Service service/nwpboot is up.

I think my nwpboot service doesn't depend on probing any network
devices. Would you show me a purpose of this delay?
I want to customize this value if possible.

regards,
Takeshi.

If you are not using it directly, don't worry, disable it and the
problem is gone :).

Jimmy: is this long sleep introduced because of some issue with the
device detection?
