Animation is such an important topic that I do agree it deserves its own page, separate from JS-based animation. I have no idea if Inkscape will eventually evolve animation-editing capabilities, and if it does what style of animation it'll focus on. But regardless, it still would be worthwhile to document various ways to do it, that don't involve inkscape.
