Hi, I suppoe i'm not the guy who's gonna decide wheter or not SVN trunk should be moved to GNOME :), but anyway i think he deserves an answer. Since I don't know the reason why Inkscape is not in GNOME maybe others would like to anwer him.

I did suggest once before that Inkscape should move to use the GNOME CVS/SVN repository, which hosts many other projects (except from GNOME) like GTK+ and Gimp. I beleive that would solve most (if not all) of your problems finding translators -- if it's in the GNOME repository, then the GNOME Translation Project, with its many hundreds of translators, will help translate it.
