Hi Clint,
I'm in charge of building perl on all sorts of unixy platforms at
ActiveState. Today I just happen to be building Perl 5.005 and 5.6.0 on
HP-UX 10.20 and 11 using HP's compiler. I'd have to put up a fence to keep
Brian away from the box, so I'm going to let him at it as soon as I'm done
compiling. :) He'll figure out what's going on and get you all sorted out.
I'll keep you informed. I should have the builds finished by today, and
Brian can probably test it tonight or tomorrow. We should get this sorted
out in time for you to get rolling by the weekend :)
Cheers,
Neil
PS: Let's take the rest of this discussion off-line. Please cc me and
Brian on all further stuff.
PS2: Brian says that the REPORTBUG tarball you sent him seems to indicate
that Inline was successful. Can you try to replicate the problem with
REPORTBUG:
% perl -w -Mblib -MInline=REPORTBUG t/01syntax.t
If all the tests work separately, you may just want to install Inline
anyway, and try some of the example programs.
