Yes, precisely. So why didn't Inline make it into 5.7.3? It disappoints me that such a great advance in Perl programming as Inline isn't part of the core. It beats the devil out of XS programming! And XS programming is mostly for C anyway, whereas Inline is all over the map in language support: it plays nice with everybody. If nothing else, it makes for great Perl evangelism.
