If I remember correctly, Jarkko wanted to assimilate it around the time of
5.7.2, but Ingy asked him not to. I don't know the reasons why Ingy
preferred it to stay outside the core, and I can't remember if I knew and
have now forgotten, or if I never knew.

(Note that Jarkko was the first person to describe Jarkko as having
Borg-like tendencies. He meant it as a joke, and so do I)
