I installed the Inline module using ppm. I am on windows 98. when I tried a simple example script copied from the documentation I got this: "can't create

about this Inline module fills me with enthusiasm.

Not sure what that error means.
However, to use Inline::C (which I'm assuming is what you tried) you need a C compiler. Do you have one ?

Which example script did you try to run ?
Which version of Inline does ppm install ? (It should be 0.44. You could also try installing the module from the source tarball on CPAN and see if that makes any difference.)
What does 'perl -V' produce ?

98's 'command.com' shell is a bit of a worry .... I don't know how it impacts on the performance of Inline .... maybe not at all, but it's so long since I've used it ...

Cheers,
Rob
