Hi,
I was unaware (until Ingy told me) that there's an Inline svn repo at http://svn.kwiki.org/ingy/Inline/ .
It seems quite broken - there's no C.pm and the Makefile.PL begins with:

 use inc::Module::Install;

which throws an immediate error, because inc/Module/Install.pm doesn't exist.
Is anyone here contributing to that repo ?

I approached Ingy with the aim of (me) getting a new release of Inline out (with some documentation errors and bugs fixed), thinking that the base code that I work with would be the Inline-0.44 release. Instead, I find the base code (from the svn repo) that I'm supposed to work with is broken in mysterious ways - which dampens my enthusiasm somewhat.

Nothing kills my interest in a project quicker than seeing a Makefile.PL that begins with "use inc::Module::Install;". If it's up to me, the first thing I'd do is remove that line and revert to an Inline-0.44 type setup - but I can't just walk in and immediately start stomping all over someone else's vision for the future (especially if that someone is Ingy :-)

If Ingy doesn't see this post I'll raise this issue with him, anyway. In the meantime, I'm just wondering whether there are others here that have been contributing to the svn repo - and if so, what are the thoughts of those people ?

(In fact, *any* thoughts from *anyone* might be helpful :-)

Cheers,
Rob
