Julien,

It appears to be FUBAR, so I'm going to copy all my configuration files,
purge, delete all directories, and reinstall - tomorrow (or Friday/the
weekend).

This newbie thanks you for all your help from the bottom of his heart.

Sincerely,

Welcome Jeffrey.

I'm reasonably new also and have been running INN2 since August of last year.

I'll do my best to help as well but it sounds like starting over is the best
bet at this stage.

Letting scripts run under the correct user with the correct permissions will
help sort a lot of things out as you set things up for INN

Best, Paul.
