In all the debates we have had over the past few years there
has been a charge that the UCA stands for all, and stands for nothing. No one
seems to be articulating (except through this list, of course) what the UCA
actually stands for, what truth we believe is valid for our day and age,
what perspective on the truth we have to offer. We have a lot of very
capable people, but none that seem to be standing up and saying what
are the theological positions we hold and what our theology can say to our
world.
Or in wanderings have I missed something?
David
PS: this came from a short piece in the SMH 16/10, saying that
the Anglicans are debating what truth is it that they hold. We have
the same debate.
