One question: Is the physical Resurrection reasonable?

You will have to make your own mind up on why it is important for you. I do
not believe the evidence for a physical resurrection is very substantive and
see no reason for such a claim. The real question is "what made Jesus'
followers tell this story or what were they trying to say?" In a nutshell, I
think they were trying to say 'hey, the spirit of this man Jesus is real. We
have encountered it as we have followed his way of being and living, as we
have lived in love. They have not destroyed him. His spirit has transcended
death and lives in us. He is the messiah for he has shown us how we can know
the presence of God personally and how we can transcend the fears and guilt
of living under what we thought was an authoratarian God.'
