Perhap I should have quoted another wise person who said "the heart will
never accept what the mind cannot really believe."
If the mind is saying 'this is non-sense' then it makes it very hard to turn
what is being said into faith which is exactly what is happening in the
Western world today when it comes down to the Christian faith. For example,
much to the chargrin of people like Pel, Western Catholics are questioning
the catechisms and doctrinal teachings of the church and saying 'I can't
believe this anymore' and are no longer attending church, an action that was
almost unthinkable and certainly considered sinful 30 or 40 years ago.
