And whilst i believe that lots of stuff the church is doing is great. we're involved in politics, sticking up for those who need it, enabling and empowering others... i also believe that there is a lot of stuff that we as christians should be sorry for, we are after all sinners and have caused pain, and hurt to many.
I also was enthused by the discussion on the piece that said that there were some who called this program idealistic. the peoples response was that children are VERY idealistic. they are right, we should be starting to talk about this stuff well before the children get older and cynical and have societies stereotypes imprinted in their brains.
It might be seen as patchwork messages to us older and cynical people, however its probably not that patchwork to the young people.
And re the march, i wonder if the lack of "official christian dignitories" was the result of our lack of interest or the programs...
And you're right, James is the past president of the UCA, however he's also now inducted into the ACCC, the role in this piece which served to speak about christianity and culture.
Its compass, ive been dissapointed and enthused by their pieces over the years, theyll never get it all right.
