I think what you're saying, Sue, is that the belief isn't enough to make us unified in action? I'm not disagreeing with that, but it wasn't what I meant. I meant that the belief is what provides the basis for us to *be* unified.
In other words, that we are already unified by being "in Christ" and that it is the challenge of living that unity in practice and demonstrating our trust in the potential to do so that was behind Union.
