I too believe that Jesus died and rose again, and that this was a real
and physical event.... I just don't believe we can call
it a 'historical' event... (I have reasons for this loopy-thinking if
anyone cares)
- but Charles, I do not believe that some responses (beatings?) to you
last year (or was it the year before?) were about you standing by your
beliefs...
but rather in a particular way you expressed them...
but perhaps we shouldn't go there

It has been a long while since I have been brave enough to post a
message to the list. I got rather a beating last year for standing by
my beliefs in the bible. I was accused of being a fundamentalist
because I professed the belief that the bible says that Jesus died and
rose again, and that this was a real and physical event. Something my
Christian friends take as an assumed belief for members of the
Christian faith. I thought it might be helpful for you to see what a
real fundamentalist is like to give you some perspective. Here is a
good example

It goes without saying that I disagree with the views of this
fundamentalist on almost all counts, as would any Christian. I am
merely a Christian who believes in the death and resurrection of Jesus.
This person is a genuine fundamentalist.
Enjoy!
Shalom
Charles
