The Uniting Church entered another round of biblical and theological study throughout the church following the Assembly Standing Committee's initiation of a three-step process to clarify the doctrine of the church regarding people in committed same-gender relationships being in leadership roles, including ordained ministries, with a view to decision-making at the 11th Assembly. Published in July 2004, Sexuality and Leadership in the Uniting Church: Biblical and Theological Reflection Resources for the Uniting Church in Australia is to be linked to the Assembly website.
