At the moment, I don't think you can. The drives themselves are not
the problem, as most are ATAPI compliant. The problem is the
luxsonor mpeg decoder (at least for the I7k), for which linux has no
drivers (that I know of).
In addition, I don't think there are any DVD software applications
for linux yet, but I imagine once the former comes, the latter won't
be far behind. :) I guess for now, be glad you can even use the drive
as a CD-ROM, as some drives aren't recognizable at all (like some of the
Sony 5x's)
