If you are using a pre-release/snapshot of the pcmcia services, it doesn't
like to let that module go. I had it installed for a while, but went back
to the old version 3.0.5 and it's working fine again. It probably gives
some moaning when you try to get rid of cardmgr from memory saying there's
problems removing modules from memory. Otherwise, I dunno. Also, if you
are using a way old version of pcmcia stuff with the 3com9x.c update file,
you might just go get a new version of the tgz. Also try popping the card
out and back in.
I know that on mine, I get a constant cs: socket 1 failed to reset
if I suspend the computer and try to come back up. I'm not in the mood to
deal with it now though. If anyone knows why, please say. I just pop the
card and put it back in and it works fine. I haven't tried it under
windows(I wiped the disk the day I got it.)
