You have a few choices, but the best for me has been to use the Mach64 server
and some info I found on a WEB page

This option "tricks" the laptop into thinking it is attached to an external
monitor.  You'll have to build a dongle, but it's pretty simple.  There is a
new Mach64 server also that is supposed to work, but success with it has been
limited.  To learn about it and more, backup one step from the WEB site above.
