has come up on my Inspiron 3000, though it doesn't appear to have any
ill effect on modem functions.  I GREPped the /usr/src/linux tree with
the warning message and idetified the corresponding C code lines. 
Unfortunately my Inspiron is currently back at Dell for touch pad and
hinge repairs.  Thus I can't provide further info now.
