Cold boot the os (Power off for about 10 to 15 seconds) and then try going
directly into linux..you probably won't get that same double card problem

When I rebuilt pcmcia module with pcmcia-cs-3.0.5 everything worked great,
I was using the network all day. Then I had to boot into windows (gasp)
for a few minutes, when I went back to linux it no longer worked. When I
did a "cardctl status" it told me that I had 2 cards in no matter how many
were actually inserted. After playing around a bit I've got it
acknowledging that the card is present (only 1) but it still doesn't
configure properly. When I start pcmcia by using
"/etc/rc.d/init.d/pcmcia start" it gives me the message "not enough high
memory"
Any more ideas,
