I have an Inspiron 3000, and I tried to put NT 4.0 workstation on it; I
installed ok (the cdrom-floppy swap thing is a pain in the ass), but the
drivers for the TI cardbus were non-existent (or maybe I just couldn't find
'em), and everything else was either slow or unstable. This was with SP3,
so you may get a better result with SP4. I talked to Dell, and they said
the reason they haven't officially approved the Inspiron for NT is
because of the $$ it takes for testing (sounds like BS, but who knows).
Right now, I have Win98 running for development work, so unfortunately i
don't have enough room for my RH5.2 partitions anymore :( Anyway, if you
try it, let me know how it goes.

Subject: Windows NT on Inspiron 3200
Hi! I'm new to the list and I was curious if anyone was running
Windows NT 4.0 on their Inspiron 3200? I am currently running
RedHat 5.2 and Windows 95. I'd like to do some development that
requires Windows NT on my Inspiron but based on my experiences
with Latitudes and NT I'm hesitant to mess with my favorite
laptop.
Thanks in advance! --eric
